The Southeast District NCCEAPA has a big heart, and this May, we have a fantastic opportunity to show it! Starting Thursday, May 1st, and continuing throughout the month until Friday, May 30th, we are launching a district-wide food drive to support local families in need.
Imagine the impact we can make together. By donating non-perishable food items, you can directly help individuals and families facing food insecurity right here in our neighborhoods. Every can, every box, every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference in someone's life.
What kind of items are needed?
We are gratefully accepting a wide range of non-perishable food items, including:
- Canned goods (vegetables, fruits, soups, beans, tuna, etc.)
- Pasta and rice
- Breakfast cereals and oatmeal
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Shelf-stable milk and juice
- Dried beans and lentils
Where can you drop off donations?
Donation boxes will be conveniently located at the following locations throughout our Southeast District:
- Check your local extension office for details!
Why is your support so important?
Food insecurity affects individuals and families in every community, and ours is no exception. Rising costs and unforeseen circumstances can leave people struggling to put food on the table. This food drive provides a vital lifeline, ensuring that our neighbors have access to nutritious meals.
Let us come together as a community and show our compassion. Mark your calendars for May 1st to May 30th and help us make this food drive a resounding success. Your generosity will bring hope and nourishment to those who need it most.
Thank you in advance for your incredible support! Together, we can make a difference.
