BLADEN COUNTY, N.C. — July 10, 2026 — Members of the Southeast District North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association (NCCEAPA) gathered at the Bladen County Extension Office on Friday, July 10, for their quarterly district meeting, celebrating organizational growth, establishing new leadership, and advancing key community initiatives across the region.

Committee Updates & Highlights
Membership
Debbie Titus reported current membership tallies across the district:
- NCCEAPA Members: 30
- TERSSA Members: 18
- Honorary Members: 20
- New Hires: Welcomed Courtney Peterson from Sampson County!
Professional Development & Award Nominations
Betty Draughton outlined important award submission procedures and deadlines. Members are encouraged to submit nominations prior to the August 1st deadline:
- State Level Awards (Submit to Kareis Britt):

- Sue Mills Lighthouse Award
- Stepping Up to the Challenge Award
- District Level Award (Submit to Emoni Burgess):
- Southeast District Administrative Professional of the Year
Public Reflections & Community Engagement
Allison Mattocks shared that the Reflections Committee met on June 26, 2026. Highlights include:
- Publishing a memorial article honoring the legacy and contributions of Dina Murray to NCCEAPA and NC Cooperative Extension.
- Gathering photos, memories, and tributes to post on the Southeast District NCCEAPA Facebook group.
- Working with the webmaster to link the Southeast District Facebook page directly on the main NCCEAPA website for easier access.
Goodwill & Benevolence
Donae Yoos reported on recent cards and support extended to members and their families, including sympathy cards to Susan Kelly and the family of Dina Murray, as well as encouragement and wedding congratulations sent to Erin Richey.
